Biografia Dopo essersi laureato alla Columbia University nel 1851, Marvin Vincent insegnò alla Columbia Grammar School. Dal 1858 al 1862, fu professore di lettere classiche alla Troy Methodist University; poi fu pastore della Pacific Street Methodist Episcopal Church a Brooklyn dal 1862 al 1863; e pastore della First Presbyterian Church di Troy, New York, dal 1863 al 1873.
