La Muse Records è stata un'etichetta discografica di musica jazz, fondata a New York da Joe Fields nel 1972.
Storia Fields ha lavorato come dirigente per la Prestige Records nel 1960. Molti degli album erano stati precedentemente pubblicati sulla Cobblestone Records. La Muse ebbe anche un'altra etichetta, la Onyx Records, che operò fino al 1978, quando Fields e il collaboratore Don Schlitten terminarono la loro relazione professionale.
Alla fine degli anni '70, Muse collaborò con l'olandese Timeless Records per distribuire Timeless Muse.
Muse fu venduta nel 1996 alla 32 Jazz, che ribattezzò e ristampò una grande quantità di registrazioni della Muse. Nel 2003 la Savoy Jazz, che era diventata una sussidiaria di Nippon Columbia, acquisì i diritti del catalogo Muse, insieme a quello della Landmark, da 32 Jazz.
Fields in seguito fondò la HighNote Records e la Savant Records; molti artisti della Muse in seguito registrarono anche per queste etichette.
