L' SSE 50 Index és l'índex borsari de la Borsa de Xangai (Shanghai Stock Exchange), que representa les 50 principals empreses per capitalització de capital flotant i altres criteris. Per tal de poder ser seleccionat com a constituent de l'índex SSE 50, s'ha de ser un constituent de l'SSE 180 Index, de manera que l'SSE 50 és un subíndex de l'SSE 180 Index. L'SSE 50 Index és també un subconjunt de l'SSE Composite Index, el qual inclou totes les accions.
L'SSE 50 es considerava un índex de valors de primer ordre (blue chip) de la borsa.
