Charles John Huffam Dickens, naixito de Portsmouth (Hampshire, Anglaterra) o 7 de febrero de 1812 y muerto en Higham (Kent, Anglaterra) o 9 de chunio de 1870, estió un escritor britanico, conoixito por obras como David Copperfield, The Adventures of Oliver Twist, The Pickwick Papers, A Christmas Carol, David Copperfield, Bleak House, Hard Times, Little Dorrit, A Tale of Two Cities y Great Expectations.. Estió uno d'os escritors britanicos mas populars d'o sieglo XIX, y encara hue bi ha reedicions d'as suyas novelas.
